Republican River Basin Coalition

About the Coalition:

Officially formed in 2007, the Republican River Basin Coalition is a joint entity with membership from the Upper, Middle and Lower Republican Natural Resources Districts. The three groups came together following the Republican River Compact Settlement with Kansas in order to provide a means for funding costs of river flow enhancement projects, as well as to provide the authority, resources, services, studies and facilities needed for the representation of member parties in proceedings by administrative, legislative, executive or judicial bodies concerning or affecting the Natural Resource Districts’ actions, decisions and policies to regulate or manage water to ensure that the state of Nebraska remains in compliance with the Republican River Compact.(Read the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement.) Each member district has representation on the RRBC Board; while the district may have multiple board members, voting is broken down to one vote per NRD.
