The Middle Republican Natural Resources District is responsible
for the protection of the natural resources
and assists landowners in planning, funding,
and applying conservation practices.
  

 

Loess Canyon Rangeland Tour
(Southeast Lincoln County)
Thursday September 15, 2005 1-6 p.m.

RSVP by Sept. 12 for the complimentary cookout supper by calling the Twin Platte NRD office at (308) 535-8080.

(Anyone is welcome to attend, but only those who RSVP are guaranteed a meal at the end of the tour)

Topics include:

· Cedar Tree Control
· Noxious Weed Awareness and Control
· Determination of Pasture stocking rates and use
· Identification of important rangeland grasses.
· Become acquainted with a local landowner conservation organization.

Location: Syd Kite farm
From Brady I-80 exit: South 3 miles, east 1 mile, south 1 mile, east 3 miles, south 1 mile to Palmer Rd, brick ranch-style home on left.
From Gothenburg I-80 exit: South past Platte River to first oiled county road and go 5 miles west, 1 mile north, west 2 miles, north ¾ miles, house is on right.
