The Middle Republican Natural Resources District is responsible
for the protection of the natural resources
and assists landowners in planning, funding,
and applying conservation practices.

Post High Scholarship

Applications are accepted each year between January 1 and April 1.

Guidelines & Application

Two scholarships are available, each worth $200. Preference is given to those applicants who plan to major in a natural resources or agriculture related field. While students may attend any college of their choice, preference is also given to applicants who are attending McCook Community College or Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA).

ELIGIBILITY – To be eligible, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Applicant must be a resident of the Middle Republican Natural Resources District. This includes all of Hayes, Hitchcock, and Red Willow counties and portions of Lincoln and Frontier counties.
  2. Applicant must be registered to attend an accredited post-secondary institution during the 2006-2007 school year.
  3. Applicant must have submitted a financial aid form at their college by the scholarship deadline.
  4. All applications, statements, and transcripts must be in the MRNRD office in Curtis by the close of business on April 3, 2006.
  5. The MRNRD Board of Directors will make the final award decision.

How Do I Apply For This Scholarship?

Fill it out and return it to the MRNRD office with your statement and a copy of your grades or transcripts. We will also be in touch with the registration office at your college to verify that you have registered and have a financial aid application on file.
