The Middle Republican Natural Resources District is responsible
for the protection of the natural resources
and assists landowners in planning, funding,
and applying conservation practices.

Summer Camp Scholarship

Applications are accepted each year between March 1 and May 1.

Guidelines & Application

One scholarship from each of the five counties in the MRNRD is available each year. Scholarship amount is equal to the camp registration fee.

ELIGIBILITY – To be eligible, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Must be a resident of the Middle Republican NRD.
  2. Must attend a school that is either a) located in the Middle Republican NRD or b) whose school population includes a significant portion of students who reside in the Middle Republican NRD
  3. Must qualify for all the guidelines outlined in the camp application,
  4. Must attend camps or workshops dealing with natural resources topics. Pre-approved camps include the Nebraska Range Youth Camp or the Sandhills Academy. Other natural resources camps qualify pending the approval of the MRNRD Board of Directors.

How Do I Apply For This Scholarship?

Simply fill out the online scholarship application below and send a copy of your camp application to:

Or call (800) 873-5613 to request a copy of the application. Fill it out and return it to the MRNRD office with your statement and a copy of your grades or transcripts. We will also be in touch with the registration office at your college to verify that you have registered and have a financial aid application on file.
