Summary: The purpose of this hearing is to receive evidence and testimony concerning the denial of a request for a variance from the District’s Ground Water Management Area, Rules and Regulations. Specifically a request from Stan Moore to drill two new wells, denied by the Board of Directors at our December 9, 2014 regular board meeting.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will be holding a Local Working Group meeting at the McCook USDA Service Center located at 1400 West 5^th Street in McCook, NE (Red Willow County Fairgrounds) on May 21^st, 2015.  The Meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and run to, approximately, 12:00 p.m.  The meeting will discuss natural resource conservation program priorities.  The meeting is open to the public.  For individuals needing special accommodations, please contact Jason Kennedy at 308-345-4163 ext. 3.

Summary: Testimony was received for Ground Water Management Area Rules & Regulations, which consisted of changes being proposed to Chapter 2 – General Provisions, Rule 2-1 Variances, specifically to 2-1.2.
