DEADLINE APPROACHING TO APPLY FOR RESOURCE CONSERVATION FUNDS

Farmers and ranchers interested in soil, water and wildlife conservation are encouraged to sign up now for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). EQIP is available from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.  Those interested in applying are encouraged to sign up before Oct. 16, 2015.

Specifically a request from Stan Moore to drill two new wells, denied by the Board of Directors at our December 9, 2014 regular board meeting.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will be holding a Local Working Group meeting at the McCook USDA Service Center located at 1400 West 5th Street in McCook, NE (Red Willow County Fairgrounds) on May 21st, 2015.  The Meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and run to, approximately, 12:00 p.m.  The meeting will discuss natural resource conservation program priorities.  The meeting is open to the public.  For individuals needing special accommodations, please contact Jason Kennedy at 308-345-4163 ext. 3.
